How Slice Of Orange sizing works
Our garments are patterned to a boxy, oversized streetwear silhouette. That means the body is cut wider and the shoulder drops lower than a standard retail tee or hoodie in the same nominal size. If you normally wear a medium in a mainstream brand, a medium here will read noticeably roomier through the chest and shorter through the body.
Should I size down?
- For the intended oversized look: take your usual size. This is how the pieces are photographed and how they are designed to sit.
- If you want a closer, more tailored fit: take one size down. The boxy pattern means a size down still will not read slim, but it will sit closer through the body.
- If you want a heavily oversized look: take one size up. Be aware that body length increases more slowly than width on a boxy block, so going up two sizes will read wide rather than long.
How to measure yourself
The most reliable method is to measure a garment you already own and like the fit of, laid flat, rather than measuring your body. Use a soft tape and measure:
- Chest / pit-to-pit: lay the garment flat and measure straight across from one underarm seam to the other. Do not double it.
- Body length: from the highest point of the shoulder seam straight down to the bottom hem.
- Shoulder width: across the back, from one shoulder seam to the other. On a drop-shoulder cut this number will be larger than your actual shoulder width.
- Sleeve length: from the shoulder seam to the sleeve opening.
Compare those numbers against the piece you are considering and pick the size that comes closest to the fit you want.
Fabric and shrinkage
Our tees are 350GSM pure cotton and our hoodies are an 80% cotton / 20% polyester fleece. Heavyweight cotton has more shrink potential than lightweight jersey. Wash cold, inside out, and hang or tumble dry low and shrinkage will be minimal. Hot wash and hot dry and you should expect a heavyweight cotton tee to lose a small amount of body length.

Sizing varies by piece. The OG Mentality Tee runs XS through 2XL. The Oversized Blank Hoodie runs S through XL. Available sizes for any piece are always shown on that product page.
